Gina Brar, MD, FACP

Internal Medicine Physician with 30 years experience

Dr. Gina Brar has practiced Internal Medicine and Primary Care in the Fresno community for more than 30 years.

Throughout her career, Dr. Brar has emphasized comprehensive medical care, preventive medicine and long-term relationships with her patients.

Many patients and families have remained with Dr. Brar for decades.

Her concierge practice allows her to continue practicing medicine in the way she believes it should be practiced:

Listening carefully. Spending adequate time with patients. Understanding the complete medical picture. And being personally involved in their care.

Dr. Brar's areas of care include:

  • Adult primary care

  • Internal Medicine

  • Preventive healthcare

  • Annual health assessments

  • Hypertension

  • Diabetes

  • Cholesterol and cardiovascular risk management

  • Thyroid disorders

  • Women's health

  • Medication management

  • Chronic medical conditions

  • Coordination with specialists

  • Health maintenance and wellness planning

Experience matters. So does knowing your patient.

For patients with multiple physicians, medications or chronic medical conditions, having an experienced primary-care physician who understands the entire medical picture can be especially valuable.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF PRIMARY CARE

Healthcare can become fragmented.

A patient may see a cardiologist for one condition, an endocrinologist for another, undergo testing at different facilities and receive medications from several physicians.

Dr. Brar believes the primary-care physician should remain at the center of the patient's healthcare.

She helps patients understand recommendations, reviews their medications and test results, and assists in coordinating care among specialists when needed.

One physician who knows the whole picture.

That continuity is one of the central benefits of Dr. Brar's concierge practice.

PREVENTION — NOT JUST TREATMENT

CONCIERGE PRIMARY CARE

Good primary care should not begin only when you become sick.

Dr. Brar emphasizes preventive medicine and early identification of health risks.

Your care may include review of:

  • Blood pressure and cardiovascular risk

  • Diabetes and blood-sugar control

  • Cholesterol

  • Cancer-screening recommendations

  • Bone health

  • Immunizations

  • Medication interactions

  • Nutrition and lifestyle

  • Age-appropriate preventive testing

  • Family and personal medical history

Recommendations are individualized according to each patient's age, health history and medical needs.
